For Ramjot’s Ma Chérie bridal shower, Kinn Studios transformed a Calgary heritage venue into an intimate French boutique—complete with bespoke installations, playful wordplay, and a fully gluten-free dessert experience. Here’s how we brought “Ma Chérie” (french for my dear) to life.
Inspiration & Theme: Elegant French Boutique
Drawing on the bride’s flair for coffee and love of perfumes, we blended French Boutique style with modern minimalism:
- A perfectly selected venue with a Brick-wall backdrop evoking a Montmartre atelier
- Deep burgundy and blush pink color palette
- Curved arch panels and soft accents for that boutique-window feel
Every detail—from the “Ma Chérie” script to the cherry motifs—whispered of romance and elegance.
The Parfumerie Cart: An Original Take-Home Favor
In lieu of typical party favours, guests strolled up to our custom Ramjot Parfumerie cart for an unforgettable experience:
- Vintage-style cart with scalloped canopy and customized event branding
- Nine signature fragrances—from Mango Ylang Ylang to Green Tea & Cucumber
- Personalized miniature bottles for guests to blend and label on-site
It wasn’t just eye-candy; it was an immersive scent station that doubled as a chic photo op and carry-home gift.
Café Rumie: A Gluten-Free Dessert Installation
Our dessert table became a sculptural installation:
- A Macaron tower with pastel pink, deep red, and gold-dust finishes
- Cherries in coupe glasses adorned with a miniature bow
- Mini cheesecake shooters, cupcakes, candy and mousse—all 100% gluten-free for the bride
- Customized signage and branding echoing the café feel
The result? A dessert experience that looked—and tasted—irresistible.
Signature Touches & Wordplay
- “Ma Chérie” & “Cherries”: A playful homophone that inspired cherry-shaped place cards, games, and mocktails.
- Custom signage: Every sign—from “Café Rumie” to guest menus—was thoughtfully designed by Kinn Studios.
- Floral centerpieces: Lush rose and floral arrangements that bridged the gap between French garden and industrial loft.
